NBP Boxing Tournament to be staged in Quetta from June 9

QUETTA: 9th All Pakistan National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) Boxing Tournament is scheduled to be organized from June 9 in Quetta.
The teams of Pakistan Army, Navy, Air Force, Higher Education Commission, Railways, LESCO, WAPDA as well as Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhaw, Sindh besides Balochistan Red and Balochistan Green would be taking part in the national level boxing competition being organized by Balochistan Boxing Association in collaboration with the NBP and Pakistan Boxing Federation.
According to President of BBA, DIG ® Syed Faqir Hussain, the necessary arrangements are being made to make the tournament a great success.
The invitations have also been extended to the teams for participation, he added.
An important meeting is being convened soon to discuss the arrangements and other necessary matters about the tournament, Syed Faqir Hussain mentioned.
Different sub-committees would also be formed to look after the arrangements.
Meanwhile, President BBA expressed thanks to the Executive Vice President of NBP (Sports), Iqbal Qasim, Anwar Farooqui, Regional Head, Ali Ahmed Panezai, General Manager Human Resource, Shahzad, and all other concerned for their cooperation in promotion of boxing in the province and the country.
Their role has been tremendous for the cause of boxing, he commended and adding he hoped that their cooperation would remain continued in future as well.
