QUETTA: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Nazrayati (JUI-N) has announced to lodge strong protest against the tragic incident of Mastung district in which some 22 persons were assassinated on Friday night.
This was announced by the JUI-N leaders including Qari Mehrullah, Syed Abdus Sattar Chishti and other leaders while addressing a hurriedly called press conference here at its office on Saturday.
The JUI-N leaders also gave a call for shutter down in Quetta city as a mark of protest against the Mastung massacre.
They said that it is a sorrowful to target innocent passengers of the coaches in Khad Kocha area of Mastung.
They said that the JUI-N decided to take out protest rallies and hold demonstrations in Quetta and other parts of the province against the Mastung incident and the acts of terrorism in Quetta city last week.
They said such incidents of terrorism are intolerable. The JUI-N leaders also criticized the government for poor law and order situation in the province including Quetta.
It is a matter of great concern for us that the law and order situation is deteriorating in the province, they said.
The JUI-N leaders said that we want peace in the province. They demanded of the government to take effective steps for maintaining law and order situation, otherwise the Jamiat would continue to lodge protest in future as well.
