Crackdown continues against electricity bill defaulters

QUETTA: The crackdown is continued against the defaulters of electricity arrears as well as the power pilfers in Quetta and other parts of the province.
According to the QESCO sources, the raiding teams led by SDO QESCO Gwalmandi and SDO Sariab Sub-Division raided in Sariab Mill, Killi Shah Nawaz, Rind Abad, Pashtoonabad, Sirki road and other areas. They removed six transformers on non-payment of the arrears from these areas.
In the meantime, power connections of some 114 defaulters were also cut off.
Needless to mention here is that millions of rupees are outstanding against the defaulters in Quetta and other parts of the province.
The crackdown has been launched on special directives of the Chief Executive Officer of QESCO.
Meanwhile, it has been appealed to the electricity consumers to pay the bills on regular basis and clear the arrears at the earliest. Otherwise, action would be taken against the defaulters.
