Chief Minister’s Special Programme launched
for prevention and treatment of Hepatitis
disease in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Health, Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch has said that every possible measures are being taken to provide timely medical treatment facilities to the people.
He stated so during visit of the under construction Out Patient Department (OPD), Children’s Ward and Trauma Center in the Sandeman Provincial Headquarter Hospital the other day.
Also present on the occasion was the Member Provincial Assembly, Manzoor Ahmed Kakar and other concerned.
He said that new OPD is being built in the Civil Hospital mainly because of the special interest taken by the Chief Minister, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch.
There would also be treatment facilities for children, women and other patients seeking treatment in different sectors including gynecology, he maintained.
The project would cost Rs. 300 million, the Minister mentioned adding that no machinery was purchased for the government hospitals during last 15 years. This has been done in transparent manner.
While the machinery purchased would be installed in the hospitals all over the province, the MRI, Angioplasty and Angiography machines have been installed in the Bolan Medical Complex Hospital, the Health Minister said.
The poor patients would benefit a lot from the modern equipment, he believed.
Referring the hepatitis, the Minister informed that the Chief Minister’s special programme has been launched for prevention and treatment of the disease in the province.
He regretfully pointed out that the disease of hepatitis is common in Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, Khuzdar, Harnai and some other districts of the province. He said that the provision of free medicines would be started to the patients right from this month.
