All out efforts being made to promote livestock: DG

QUETTA: Director General Livestock department, Dr. Ghulam Hussain Jaffar has said that all available resources are being mobilized for bringing improvement in the livestock sector of the province.
This, he stated while addressing the stock assistant and stock field officers completing training at the Animal Sciences Institute, Livestock department Balochistan here the other day. The four-day training was arranged on growth of the less-priced animals and prevention of the diseases. In all 75 employees of the department from all over the province attended the training.
The Director General Livestock maintained that steps have been taken to impart necessary modern training to the field officers of the department so that they are able to shoulder their responsibilities well.
The training would also help the concerned staff to serve the livestock breeders in the field, he maintained.
The DG further said that the funds of Rs. 20 million are being provided to launch new projects in the livestock department. Under the project, it would be managed to train the concerned staff further enabling them to discharge their duties in a befitting manner, he added.
Director Animal Sciences Institute, Livestock department Balochistan, Dr. Abdul Bari also spoke on the occasion.
He said that we have imparted training to 75 staff members of the department despite the limited resources so that they are able to facilitate the livestock breeders in their respective areas.
Vice Principal, Dr. Muhammad Qasim, Director Dr. Abdul Majeed Kakar, Dr. Muhammad Islam and Dr. Abdul Razzaq also addressed the closing session of the training programme.
In the end, certificates were distributed among the male and female participants of the training programme.
