QUETTA: Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC) has decided to set up four sasta bazaars in order to provide relief to the citizens in prices of the edibles and other daily used commodities, in the metropolis.
The sasta bazaars would be set up at various places during the month of Ramadanul Mubarak, stated by the Deputy Mayor of QMC, Muhammad Younas Baloch here.
It has been decided to set up sasta bazaars at the Circular Road, Railway Colony Football Ground, Samungli Road near Board Office and Satellite Town.
The arrangements are being given final shape for the sasta bazaars, the Deputy Mayor mentioned adding that different committees have been formed in this regard.
The committees would be consisted of councilors of the corporation, he maintained.
The Deputy Mayor on the occasion also referred to the Price Control Committees saying that the committees are effective and working, however, they would be made rather more effective with support of the public and media.
Younas Baloch asserted that selling of quality edibles would be ensured and no one would be allowed to indulge in adultery or sale of sub-standard items.
Stern action would be taken against those found involved in adultery or profiteering, he maintained.
The Deputy Mayor called on the traders to ensure sale of quality edibles and other essential commodities.
