QUETTA: The Secretary Provincial Transport Authority (PTA) Abdul Khaliq Mandokhail has stated that the PTA is doing its best to bring improvement in condition of the transport.
He noted with satisfaction that there is a marked improvement in condition of the buses and coaches plying on different routes thanks to the environment of competition among them.
The Secretary stated so during inspection of the buses of Panjgur, Turbat and Taftan routes the other day.
The Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA), Amanullah Panezai and Focal Person, Jan Muhammad Muhammad Hassani were also present on the occasion.
The Secretary PTA maintained that the condition of the buses and coaches plying on various routes of the province is improving than past, and hopefully it would improve further with passage of time so that the passengers may not suffer.
An office bearer of the Mutahida Bus Federation, Abdul Malik Muhammad Hassani, who was also present during the inspection, briefed the Secretary PTA about the facilities and services being offered to the passengers.
Meanwhile, the Secretary PTA and Secretary RTA, Amanullah Panezai suspended route permits of nine local buses of Brewery, Sariab and Qambrani routes on their poor condition.
The action came after inspection of the local buses carried out by the Secretary PTA along with Secretary RTA and Focal person, Jan Muhammad Muhammad Hassani on different routes.
