Govt. committed to increase industrial activities: Khalid

QUETTA: The provincial coalition government is committed to increase industrial activities in the province.
It has been included in top priorities of the government to increase the industrial activities, stated the Advisor to Chief Minister for Finance Mir Khalid Lango in his budget speech delivered in the provincial assembly the other day.
He mentioned that at present there are industrial estates in different districts of the province including Quetta, Dera Murad Jamali, Gwadar and Lasbela. However, we have planned to establish new industrial estates in Bostan, Khuzdar, Kech and Pasni, he maintained.
The work is in progress in the Industrial Estate Bostan and Quetta with cooperation of the federal government.
The land has been acquired for the purpose in Gwadar, Kech and Muslim Bagh. The development work on the projects would be started soon, he announcd.
He also said that there are more than 147 training centers all over the province under the Small Industries. We are endeavouring to provide necessary facilities in the centers so that local people may earn livelihood for themselves, he maintained.
The Industrial department has prepared a project in collaboration with the B-TEVTA.
