CS assures full support to local bodies in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Chief Secretary Balochistan, Saifullah Chattha has assured that the provincial government would extend all possible cooperation to the local bodies in their efforts for resolving the issues being faced by the common men.
This assurance, he gave while talking to a delegation of the representatives of the local bodies led by the Mayor Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC), Dr. Kalimullah Khan, here the other day.
Those who were included in the delegation were included: Chairman of Quetta District Council, Malik Naeem Ahmed Khan Bazai, Chairman Municipal Corporation Khuzdar, Mir Abdul Rahim Kurd, Chairman Municipal Corporation Pishin, Sharafuddin Agha.
Also present in the meeting were the Secretary of Local Government and Rural Development, Commissioner Quetta Division and Deputy Commissioner Quetta.
The members of the delegation apprised the Chief Secretary about the issues being faced by the local bodies seeking his role in addressing the same.
They also put forth certain demands before the Chief Secretary in this regard.
Saifullah Chattha on the occasion gave a patient hearing to the issues raised by the Mayor of QMC and chairmen of other Municipal Corporations and District Council.
He assured that the government respects the elected representatives at every level, and as such, it would cooperate every possible to the local bodies in their initiatives to resolve the issues of the common men.
All available resources would be mobilized to address the related issues, he assured further.
The Mayor and other members of the delegation thanked the Chief Secretary for hearing of the issues and hoped that they would be resolved amicably.
