QUETTA: The Advisor to Chief Minister for Finance, Mir Khalid Langove has stated that the free medicines of worth Rs. 1.58 billion would be provided during the financial year 2015-16.
He announced this while delivering budget speech in the provincial assembly on Wednesday.
He informed that the Health Insurance Programme is being launched in the next financial year budget. It would cost Rs. 2.4 billion, he maintained.
While on the other hand, an effective campaign has also been started under the Chief Minister’s Hepatitis Control Programme. Under the programme, the general public particularly the children of all the schools and universities are being provided necessary awareness.
Moreover, three medical colleges are being set up in Khuzdar, Loralai and Turbat for promotion of medical education in the province, he maintained.
Similarly, 70 new centers would be opened to improving the coverage of EPI.
