Levies role vital in maintaining law and order in “B†areas

QUETTA: The Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Dawood Khan Khilji has stated that sincere efforts are being made for curbing crimes and improving law and order situation in the “B†areas of the district.
In this regard, the capacity of the force is being built in addition to certain other measures being taken, maintained the Deputy Commissioner while speaking on the occasion of handing over of motor cycles for patrolling to different Levies Thanas here the other day.
Assistant Commissioner Quetta Sadar, Munir Ahmed Mosiani, Major Risaldar, Gul Muhammad Kakar and Incharges of the Levies thanas were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner noted with satisfaction that there is an important role of Levies force in maintenance of law and order. He said that the measures being taken for capacity building of the Levies force as well as provision of modern training and equipments would surely help the combat the law and order situation in the “B†areas.
The Levies force would also be able to tackle the criminals and terrorist elements once they are properly trained and equipped with necessary facilities, the Deputy Commissioner believed maintaining that particularly the motorbikes would help them to chase the criminals in their respective areas.
