PTA firm to take action against transporters violating directives

QUETTA: The Secretary Provincial Transport Authority (PTA) Abdul Khaliq Mandokhail has reiterated his department’s resolve to take stern action against the outdated and unauthorized vehicles as well as those buses carrying the cattle and diesel illegally.
This, he stated while addressing a meeting of the transporters here the other day.
The Secretary PTA stated that the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has been issued directives to take action against those vehicles plying illegally on the roads as well as those involved in transportation of the illegal diesel and cattle in the province.
He said that no one would be spared in this regard. The checking of the buses of local and long routes is also being made, he added.
Meanwhile, the Secretary PTA along with Secretary RTA inspected the condition of buses of Nawan Killi route.
During the inspection, they cancelled the route permits of two buses of the route on the basis of their poor condition.
They directed to the transporters to bring improvement in condition of the buses. Otherwise their route permits would be cancelled, they warned.
