Quetta administration issues new official price list

QUETTA: The Quetta district administration has issued new official price list of the edibles and other essential commodities and the services.
According to a notification of the Deputy Commissioner Quetta / Chairman Price Control Committee, the prices of different edibles and other commodities and services have been fixed as under: 20 kilogram flour bag (Rs. 810), 50 kilogram flour bag (Rs. 2025), ghee local brand (Rs. 140 kilogram), cooking oil local brand (Rs. 160 per liter), rice super basmati (Rs. 140 per kilogram), rice tota (chunk) (Rs. 80 per kilogram), Rs. Saila (Rs. 120 per kilogram), dal chana (Rs. 80 per kilogram), Whiter chana (Rs. 85 per kilogram), dal Mong washed (Rs. 130 per kilogram), dal mash washed (Rs. 150 per kilogram), dal masoor washed (Rs. 100 per kilogram), baisan (Rs. 80 per kilogram ), milk at dairy farm (Rs. 76 per liter), milk at shops (Rs. 81 per liter), yoghurt (Rs. 84 per kilogram), beef with bone (Rs. 300 per kilogram), boneless beef (Rs. 370 per kilogram), mutton (Rs. 550 per kilogram),.
Moreover, the per kilogram price of pakoras has been fixed as Rs. 170. Similarly, the single tandoori nan (bread) weighing 170 grams has been fixed as Rs. 10 while the double nan weighing 340 grams has been fixed as Rs. 20.
The rate of hair cutting has also been fixed. A per the price list, Rs. 100 would be charges for hair cutting in the city jurisdictions while Rs. 80 would be charged for the same in the surrounding areas. One would be charged Ts. 50 for shave.
While on the other hand, the rates of sugar, chicken and eggs would be determined as per the market, the official notification mentioned.
In this regard, all shopkeepers, whole sellers, dairy farm owners and other concerned traders have been directed to ensure implementation on the official price list.
They have also been asked to display the price list at their respective outlets.
The price list could be obtained from the office of Deputy Commissioner Quetta. It has been warned that stern action would be taken against those not following the list.
The action to be taken are included arrests of the violators and heavy fines to charged from them
