QUETTA: Al-Saba Cricket Club and Quetta team won their respective matches played in connection with the All Pakistan T-20 Ramadan Cup Cricket Tournament 2015 here on Friday.
Al-Saba defeated Makran team by eight wickets while Quetta beat Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan by 100 runs.
In first match of the day, Makran team batted first and scored 174 runs at the loss of seven wickets.
Abdul Hakeem and Imdad Ali remained prominent with 46 and 36 runs respectively.
While bowling, Abdul Qayum and Abdul Baqi took three and two wickets respectively.
In reply, Al-Saba hit the target in 10.4 overs at the loss of two wickets.
Shafiullah excelled to bat with 77 runs. Javed Tareen made 38 runs. Ghulam Mustafa got two wickets for the Makran team.
In the second match of the day, Quetta team batted first and scored 273 runs at the loss of six wickets.
Bilal batted nicely and scored maiden century of the tournament. He made 103 runs. Atta Jan remained prominent with 40 runs.
Qaiser and Muhammad Ishaq secured two wickets each while bowling for FC Balochistan.
In reply, FC could score 173 runs at the loss of nine wickets. For Quetta, Atta Jan got three wickets.
Bilal was declared Man of the Match for his superb batting.
The tournament, it may be mentioned here, is being organized by the provincial government in collaboration with the Frontier Corps Balochistan and Southern Command of the Army.
