Former Minister condemns extensive load shedding, water shortage

QUETTA: The former Provincial Minister, Sardar Akbar Khan Tareen has strongly condemned the extensive load shedding of electricity during Ramadanul Mubarak in the province.
In a statement issued here, he pointed out that it is strongly condemnable to witness lengthy load shedding being observe in different parts of the province. He also pointed out towards the issue of fluctuation in the electricity. He said that as a result of the load shedding, the water supply is also badly affected in Quetta and other parts, he added.
The former Minister stressed that the government should take prompt notice of the situation coming to the rescue of the people.
He also asked the WASA authorities to ensure supply of water to the people on regular basis as its shortage has forced them to purchase water from private tanker mafia.
Meanwhile, the Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Samiul Haq) Quetta district, Maulana Mufti Abdul Wahid Bazai has also demanded of the concerned authorities to take notice of the unannounced load shedding being observed in the province. He demanded to put an end to the extensive load shedding during the timings of Iftar-o-Sehr and Taraveeh so that the people may not face problems.
The proper arrangements should also be made for supply of the water to the people, he demanded further.
