QUETTA: The Provincial Transport Authority (PTA) along with the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) is carrying out action against the poor conditioned buses plying on different routes of the provincial metropolis and its suburbs.
The Secretary PTA, Abdul Khaliq Mandokhail flanked by the Secretary RTA, Amanullah Khan Panezai and Focal Person, Jan Muhammad Muhammad Hassani conducted inspection of the local buses of the Brewery Road the other day.
During the inspection, route permits of seven poor conditioned buses were cancelled. The Secretary PTA also directed to take action against the owners / drivers of the busses.
He asserted that the poor conditioned buses would not be allowed to operate in the city.
The Secretary mentioned that the action is being taken against the poor conditioned buses after repeated notices issued to their owners but no implementation was made on them.
In this regard, the Secretary PTA directed to the transporters to bring improvement in condition of their buses and provide facilities to the passengers.
Otherwise, stern action would be taken against them, he warned.
