QUETTA: As many as four matches were decided in the All Pakistan T-20 Balochistan Ramadan Cricket Cup Tournament 2015 here the other day.
FATA Green, Malik Cricket Academy Peshawar, Faisalabad and FATA won their respective matches.
In first match of the day, FATA Green overpowered Sheikhu Pura by five wickets.
While batting first, Sheikhu Pura scored 170 runs at the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Babar remained the prominent batsman from the batting side with 49 runs. Asif Afridi took three wickets bowling for FATA Green.
In reply, FATA Green hit the target on second ball of the last over (19.2). Saeed excelled with bat scoring 64 runs. He was declared Man of the Match on his superb batting performance.
In second match of the day, FATA faced Abbott abad. The former defeated the latter by four wickets.
Abbott abad team batted first and its entire was bowled out at 161 in the stipulated overs.
Muhammad Ali was the highest scorer with 38 runs.
For FATA, Asfandyar and Sohrab grabbed three wickets each. In reply, FATA achieved the target in last over of the match.
Zubair and Majid were the prominent batsmen with 58 and 35 runs respectively.
In third match of the day, Faisalaabad defeated Karachi in super over after a sensational fight.
Faisalabad scored 125 runs while batting first. Ahsan Sardar and Imran made 30 and 28 runs respectively.
For Karachi, Imran took three wickets off 33 runs. In reply, Karachi also scored 125 runs in the stipulated overs.
Gohar Ali was the highest scorer with 60 runs. Hafiz Shahzad got four wickets.
As the match ended in draw in the stipulated overs, so its fate was decided in the super over. In this crucial over, Faisalabad overpowered Karachi and thus won the match. Gohar Ali was adjudged Man of the Match.
In fourth match of the day, Malik Cricket Academy Peshawar beat Marker Cricket Club by 56 runs.
Peshawar Academy scored 179 runs with Mohibullah and Jumma Gul contributed 63 and 28 scores respectively.
Asad Afridi took four wickets bowling well.
However, Mohibullah was declared Man of the Match for his good batting performance.
It may be mentioned here that the national level cricket tournament is being organized by the Provincial government in close collaboration with the Frontier Corps (FC).
