QUETTA: Four butchers were sent to Jail while three shops were sealed on different charges of violation of official price list and lack of observance of the cleanliness here in the provincial metropolis.
The action was taken by the Assistant Commissioner Quetta City Tariq Javed Mengal during the campaign already launched against the profiteering and not taking care of the hygienic conditions.
Also present on the occasion was the concerned Special Magistrates and the staff of Industrial Police Station.
Speaking on the occasion, the Assistant Commissioner Quetta city mentioned that it had been agreed in the meeting that the butchers would ensure implementation on the official price list and it would also be displayed at the outlets prominently.
During the meeting, it was also suggested to send violators of the official price list and not following other directives would be arrested and sent to jail.
But, the shopkeepers are not displaying the official price list nor they are taking well care of the hygienic principles, he regretfully pointed out that adding that the animals are being slaughtered in open at footpaths and roads.
This is causing dirtiness and thus creating problems for the people in surrounding areas, he maintained.
The Assistant Commissioner Quetta City on the occasion asserted that no one would be allowed to violate the official price list.
The violators would be taken to task, he added.
