QUETTA: Two more matches in connection with the All Pakistan T-20 Balochistan Ramadan Cricket Cup Tournament here at the Bugti Stadium on Tuesday night.
In these matches, Rana Naveedul Hasan Academy Sheikhu Pura and Peshawar Region recorded victory beating Sialkot and Abbotabad Region teams respectively.
First match of the day was played between Rana Naveedul Hasan Academy Sheikhu Pura and Sialkot in which the former beat the later by 55 runs.
The international cricket player Rana Naveedul Hasan- led Sheikhu Pura side scored 175 runs at loss of six wickets in the stipulated overs. Ali Raza and Rana Naveedul Hasan remained prominent batsmen with 61 and 37 runs respectively for the batting side. Muhammad Khalid and Amir took two wickets each.
In reply, Sialkot team was bowled out after scoring 120 runs in 17th over (16.2).
Except Ali Raza (33) and Babar (17), none of other batsmen could stay longer at the crease.
For Sheikhu Pura, the fast bowler, Muhammad Irfan did excellent bowling and got four wickets for 23 runs. He was declared Man of the Match.
In second match of the day, Peshawar region recorded victory with 29 runs.
Peshawar batted first and made 173 runs at the loss of eight wickets. Musaddiq Ahmed excelled with bat scoring 66 runs. Muhammad Mohsin was the other prominent batsman with 37 runs.
For Abbotabad, Safiullah and Amjad Waqas got two wickets each.
In reply, the Abbotabad side could not hit the target as all the players reached the pavilion after scoring 144 runs.
Muhammad Ali (28) and Amanullah (21) were the prominent scores from Abbotabad while Shah Faisal and Muharram Alam bowled three players each while bowing for Peshawar.
Musaddiq Ahmed was adjudged Man of the Match.
It may be mentioned here that the All Pakistan T-20 Balochistan Ramadan Cricket Cup Tournament is being held under the auspices of the provincial government in collaboration with the Frontier Corps.
Earlier, three matches had been decided in the tournament the other day. In the matches, FATA Green defeated Sialkot by 41 runs, Peshawar beat FATA by 54 runs and Peshawar Cricket Academy overpowered Saeed Ajmal Cricket Academy Faisalabad by four wickets.
In these matches, the worth mentioning inning was played by Peshawar against FATA. In the high scoring match, Peshawar made record 200 runs of the tournament so far.
Ashfaq was the highest scorer with 59 runs. In reply, FATA side returned to pavilion scoring 146 runs in the 16.5 over.
