HQ: Several problems of the province are created by us and we are also responsible for our backwardness. From disintegration of One Unit till today we have been rulers in our province and no other ruled here. People have been made target of hypocritical politics. By digging underground water by tube wells it ws used recklessly. And water resources of millions of years were utilized just in 20 to 30 years. Now we have to think how these reservoirs are restored.
These views were expressed by Balochistan chief minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri while addressing closing session of 2-Day seminar “Water Crises in Quetta Valley/Balochistan and the Way Forward†organized by Public Health Engineering Department and Southern Command here Thursday.
Federal Minister Lt General ( R) Abdul Qadir Baloch, Provincial Minister Nawab Ayaz Jogezai, Chief Secretary Saifullah Chatha and Chairman WAPDA Zafar Mahmood also addressed.
Provincial minister Dr Hamid Achakzai, Advisers Obedulah Babat, Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech, GOC 33 Davison Major General Azhar Hayat, MPA Samina Khan and Mayor Dr Kaleemulalh attended.
Chief Minister said that to stop reckless use of water and reform in different sectors effective legislation would be made to implement it. We would take tough and strict decisions because to us people’s interests are more dear than political interests. Through bitter decisions if we leave a better province for coming generation it would not be a bad decision.
He said in larger interest of the province government writ would b e maintained at every cost.
