Secretary Finance remanded to NAB for 14 days

HQ: Balochistan Secretary Finance Mushtaq Raisani arrested by NAB Balochistan here Friday has been remanded to NAB for 14 days.
According to details NAB conducted a raid at office of Secretary Finance here yesterday and arrested him. Later a raid was conducted at his house from where Rupees 730 million in cash, gold worth Rupees 40 million, prize bonds, saving certificates, dollars and pound s and documents of properties. NAB had to bring machines for counting these notes. Machines were also asked form State Bank of Pakistan. It took them seven hours to count such a big amount.
Mushtaq Raisani was secretary finance for past three years. He also served as Secretary Finance during PPP regime.
Mushtaq Raisani was presented in the court of Judicial magistrate Muhammad Haneef. NAB Prosecutor Muhammad Zameer Chalgari requested the court for grant of 14 days remand of accused and court accepted this request.
Mushtaq Raisani asked Court that he was diabetic patient. Court directed NAB authorities to provide medical facility to him during investigaiton.
Court also admired NAB work. Strict security measures were adopted during presentation of Mushtaq Raisani at the court. He was brought to the court in armoured vehicle and he was hand coughed.
After arrest of Mushtaq Raisani, Adviser on finance Khalid Langav also resigned. He said that pending completion of inquiry he would not accept any office.
