QUETTA Sep 19 (PPI): Imran Khan was trying to derail democracy but democracy loving parties of the country would play their role for restoration of democracy and to strengthen it as was done in the past and maintain supremacy of Parliament at every cost.
These views were expressed by President Awami National Party (ANP) Asghar Achakzai while addressing a press conference here Monday.
Provincial Secretary General ANP Wali Group Izzatullah and others joined ANP on the
occasion.
MPA Zamrak Achakzai, Omar Farooq , Rasheed Nassar and others were also present.
Asghar Achakzai said people have seen those doing politics on martyrs of August 8. Their blood was not dried yet and they were dancing to the beat of drums.
He thanked people and traders for successful shutter on the call of ANP.
He said ANP has always strived for restoration of democracy and has been successful in it. He said Imran Khan was trying to abolish what ever democracy prevails in Pakistan but he would not succeed in his motive.
He Welcomed Izzatullah into party folds and said we have neither ministries yet joining of our party speaks well we have always done politics of principles and we have been successful.
Speaking on the occasion MPA Zamrak Achakzai said ANP hurled call for shutter down against August 8 incident and it had been successful. He said ANP was target of excesses for past some years and we are tolerating it. We have always served people and would continue it. Some forces are at work to end democracy but they would not succeed. Our party he added wants to run the system because democratic era is better for the people.
