QUETTA Oct 11 (PPI): Ashura Muharram processions would be taken out form 70 places in Balochistan including Quetta. Five thousand policemen and one thousand FC personnel have been deployed for security of Ashura procession in Quetta. There is threat on Yom Ashur but complete arrangements have been adopted in this regard.
This was stated Inspector General Balochistan Police Ahsan Mahbub while speaking with Newsmen at Imam Bargah Nasirul Aza here Tuesday.
Sector Incharge FC Brigadier Khalid Beg, DIG Police Abdul Razzaq Cheema and Chief of Shia Conference Daud Agha were also present.
IGP said by grace of Allah almighty Muharram processions are being taken out all over the province including Quetta. Strict security measures have been adopted in this regard and five thousand policemen, one thousand FC personnel have been deployed for security. Besides Levies and Balochistan constabulary have also been posted.
Replying to a question IG Police said there is threat on Yome Ashur but only arrangements have been made and vigil was being made on suspected people. He said Yom e Ashur procession would pass through its traditional route and end before Maghrib prayer at their respective imam bargahs.
