QUETTA Oct 11 (PPI): Yom e Ashur the tenth of Muharram Haram would be observed with due religious solemnity and fervour Wednesday. They is observed in supreme sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) grand son of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions at the Karbala 1400 years ago for Glory of Islam.
The day is marked by taking out processions. Main procession would be taken out from Alamdar road which would pass through its traditional route of Toghi road, Chowk Mission road, Liaqat Bazar, Prince Road and would terminate in the evening from its point of origin.
Strict security measures have been made to avoid any unpleasant situation on the occasion. Over five thousand police men, one thousand FC jawans, Levies personnel and Balochistan Constabulary have been deployed for the security of procession along the route. Policemen in plain clothes have also been deployed to keep vigil on suspected persons. Assistance has also been sought of snugger dogs. Procession would also be monitored by air surveillance.
Pak Army troops have been put on high alert to seek their assistance in case of need.
All the shops and markets along the procession route have been sealed. All the roads and routes leading to procession route have been sealed and no one is allowed to enter there.
