QUETTA Oct 14 (PPI): No society can prosper without justice. By establishing rule of democracy and law it can be cleansed of all sorts of crimes and terrorism. Society in which there is no effective rule of law there is no justice and in the absence of justice there will spread chaos and pessimism.
These views were expressed by Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai while speaking with a delegation of lawyers which called on him under the leadership of President District Bar Association Qazi Abdul Malik here Friday.
Governor said that lawyers belong to a sensitive and educated segment of our society. August 8 incident has mourned entire nation. A massive vacuum has been created in the death of lawyers. He called upon lawyers community to face ups and downs of life with light of hopes.
Governor Achakzai said because of vast area and scattered population there are several difficulties in the way of Balochistan development. We have our borders linked with Afghanistan and Iran. However present government measures against terrorism and its performance there is visible change during three years.
About end of terrorism and terrorists Governor said entire region is gripped by lawlessness for four decades which was affecting overall progress and prosperity. He said government was striving to implement all mega projects and ensure that it benefits maximum of local population.
Turning to lawyers security he said security to life and property and dignity of common man is responsibility of state but every individual of society has to play his roe in this regard.
Delegation apprised Governor of it problems and difficulties and governor assured of every cooperation for solution of these problems.
Meanwhile former Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, provincial minister Mujeebur Rehman Muhammad Hasani, MNA Khaleel George called on governor separately.
