Governor-National Commission on Status of Women

QUETTA Nov 21 (PPI): With economic self sufficiency of women they can become able to secure their rights. To activate their role their participation and inclusion in all political and economic activities is very much necessary.
This was stated by Acting Governor Ms Rahila Durrani while speaking to representatives of National Commission on Status of Women Balochistan Sana Durrani and Rukhsana Ahmed Ali who calle don her at Governor House here Monday.
She said Balochistan women are no less than with regard to ability and awareness. There is need opportunities be provided them to mobilize their hidden abilities.
She said Provincial Commission on women ahs not bee formed in Balochistan as against other provinces. Efforts are being made for constituting this commission and we enjoy full cooperation of Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri in this regard. After consultation legislation would also be made on this. She called upon responsible women to provide their suggestions and assistance.
Acting Governor told that complaint cell was in the final stage of completion for security of women rights and redressal of genuine complaints.
She said that due to non participation of women in Pakistan politics and other sectors their presence at senior offices is almost not existent. She said it is her desire situation should be changed and women role in different sectors should be so common that presence of women on any post may not give sense of aliens.
Provincial Minister Aslam Bizenjo, MPA Sardar Dur Muhammad, Prince Ahmed Ali, William Barkat, Vice Chancellor BUITEMS Engineer Ahmed Farooq Bazai, Rehana Khilji, Balochistan Boy scouts representative Nematullah Zaheer and Alauddin Kakar and others also called on Acting governor separately.
