SSGC launches Winter Safety Awareness Campaign

QUETTA Nov 23 (PPI): Natural gas is a gift of Allah and its unjust use is disobeying of Almighty and treason with nation. Precautions are necessary because with this there can be reduction in human deaths. Nearly 25 people died and over 100 injured during last 4 years but this year no casualty has been reported form start of winter because of cooperation of Ulema and Media.
These views were expressed by Senior General Management north Nisar Ahmed Sheikh while addressing launch of Winter Safety Awareness Campaign organized by SSGC here Wednesday.
Communication officer Shahbaz Islam, General Manager Quetta Agha Muhammad Baloch, Chief Engineer Syed Muhammad, Chief engineer Shamsullah Kakar, Amir Muhammad Dotani Maulana Mohibullah Agha, Hafiz Abdul Rahim Rahimee, Hafiz Mazhar Liaqat, Molvi Abdul Rehman, Chief Manager media Relations Muhammad Ali Gohar and others also spoke on the occasion.
They said natural gas is gift of Almighty Allah. People must care for natural gas and other blessings. Due to precautions deaths can be minimised. They said owing to mutual cooperation of Ulema and SSGC awareness campaign was underway to create awareness among the people and theft of gas and this has resulted in reduction of deaths to a n extent.
They said Islam does not permit corruption and gas theft. Natural gas is national ‘amanat’ and it should not be used excessively so that others are not deprived. Ulema should launch awareness campaign at their masajid and madaris about natural gas and apprise people of precautionary measures.
Ulema asked SSGC to take measures for providing gas to the people and remove low pressure and provide gas for madaras and masajid. It is Ulema’s duty to raise voice against gas theft. At the same time gas officials should remove apprehensions of people, minimize bills and improve pressure wherever it is low. Do not punish others of those who do not pay their bills but take measures for those depositing bills and provide them with facilities. Ulema are with Gas Company.
General Manager Agha Muhammad in his vote of thanks thanked Ulema and people and said that success of this campaign goes to Ulema and Media. We rightly hope Ulema and Media will play their role during such awareness campaign.
He assured that maximum complaints are in Quetta and it is our endeavour to provide better facilities to the consumers.
